"My family and I invented a way to make video games both fun and
healthy. Our idea was to add small weights to our video game
controller. The weights would depend on how much you can lift safely
over a 30 minute period. Sure every now and then you would take a
break but it really works. I’ve tried it for over a month now and
the results are that I've lost over 5lbs. I only play 2 and a half
hour per week. I also can lift 10 pounds more than I used to. When
my friends come over they all love it because it doesn't strain your
arm. I have an Xbox 360 and a Wii and they work just fine with the
weights. One night just get your family together and try my idea,
I’m sure you’re going to love it."

“What happens when I play on the computer is I often, without
thinking about it, jump when my guy jumps and I some times do what
my character does.”

"When we play guitar hero as an extended family with the
grandparents, we have a rule that everyone keeps moving so that
we don't fight over who gets to play which instrument and who
gets to sing etc. We put our names on slips of paper and draw
names for "positions." then, when the song starts, we have to do
foot movements and be on our feet during the song. This brings
about lots of laughter! For each song, we draw names for new
"positions."
You don't know how great this is to get the
grandparent-aged 83 involved, when my grandpa was afraid the
"system" would blow up if he touched any of it. He's afraid of
electronics-go figure. So, that's our idea of moving and
grooving...a sort of exercise program while playing the notes
and singing as a family band. We've started doing this with my
friends after they saw a video of my family laughing so hard!"

"Do pushups, sit-ups, or weight lifts during intervals (cut
scenes, loading screens, waiting for online game)."
