NEW YORK STATE WINNER |
 |
Garrison,
14, won first place in the
2009
By Kids For Kids Invent A Game New York
Challenge
for his video game idea, Orbiter. In his
game, you are a ship that needs to
navigate its way through the galaxy, as
a robot cleaning force is coming through
to purify the area to make it
inhabitable for humans. You need to
conserve gas to exit the galaxy and the
feature for orbiting becomes a key idea.
You can orbit any object with mass. The
larger the mass, the greater the
strength of the orbit. You must use the
interplanetary objects to your advantage
and hitch a ride on their gravity!
Garrison won a
$1000 (face value) U.S. savings bond and
a Best Buy gift card.
