PENNSYLVANIA STATE WINNER
11-year-old
Melody,
from Newtown, Pennsylvania has a deep
interest in machines and games and
decided to put her interests to test
with the Invent A Game Challenge. She
came up with a video game idea called
Machine Mania, where you are challenged
to build machines. You are a mechanic
and you have a limited number of parts
that you can choose from to invent a
machine that works! You win points based
on what parts you choose and what you
finally invent and how it works.
Melody says, 'these machines are based
on real working parts, they help you
learn how things actually work and how
they are put together and made'.
Melody won first place for the
2009 By Kids For Kids Invent A Game
Pennsylvania Challenge.
She received a $1000 (face value) U.S.
savings bond and a Best Buy gift card. |
