The Park-N-Lock is a stand alone bike rack that has a cable attached to it. The locking system is activated by either putting your school ID card or you Library card into the slot on the machine so the machine can read it. If you do not have a school ID card or Library card the Park-N-Lock will be able to read finger prints to activate it as well.Marissa won the Ohio Invention Convention’s 1st ‘Camp Design Central’ which enabled her to spend a full week at R&D Firm Design Central.

- She had a Full page article in the Columbus Dispatch as well as an article in the Westerville Newspaper.


Marissa never wanted to leave her bike un-locked. One day while at her local library she noticed a sign that said “Please secure your bike. Thefts are taking place. Bike locks are available for check-out.” She saw a problem with this. If you did not bring a lock with you, you had to leave your bike un-locked outside while you went inside to get the lock and chain leaving the possibility that it might get stolen!
