She had a problem: She wanted a pair of shoes that went with every outfit she had. Caelan thought that one pair of shoes should be able to look good with everything.

She had an idea: Why not take a regular pair of shoes and create compatible soles in a variety of colors that zip on.

She developed it: Calean thought up the idea of Zip It’s by using everyday household products she found around her house. By recycling a pair of worn out canvas shoes Caelan made interchangeable colored soles. Now Caelan can mix and match her shoes with just about anything!

The idea was a hit: She was a winner of BKFK’s 2006 Connecticut Invention

Caelan’s favorite TV show is Avatar- The Last Airbender. Her favorite celebrity is Will Smith and her favorite singer is Kelly Clarkson.
