Tri-Chess

Inventor: Eva
Invented at age: 12

She saw a problem: Eva and her two younger brothers were avid chess players. They loved playing together, but it was a constant problem that one of the three of them had to be left out. She wanted to come up with a solution to this and find a way for all three of them to play together. She also wanted to create a more challenging game of chess.

She had an idea: Why not make a board that three people can play on? Out of this sibling dilemma arose a challenging three person game she called Tri-Chess.

tri-chessShe developed it: Eva’s Tri Chess closely resembles traditional chess, but she modified the rules slightly so that more people can play. The players sit on the three sides of a triangular board.

The idea was a hit: She was a winner of BKFK’s 2006 Connecticut Invention Convention.

Eva belongs to an art club and she plays soccer. Her favorite TV show is Monk and her favorite celebrity is Hilary Duff.
