A Kids Guide to Giving
Inventor: Freddi
Invented at age: 14
She saw an opportunity: To help kids learn to give to
charities and to be able to tap into kids natural instinct
to help others.
She had an idea: Freddi came up with the idea to produce
a Children’s book that provides kids with a “how
to” way to collect and donate money to their favorite
charities. The book outlines 100 charities for kids to
consider.
She
developed it: Freddi researched hundreds of charities
and divided them into categories: children, animals and
environment. Pocket Change tells each charity’s
mission statement, how they will spend the donations,
and how to donate.
The idea was a hit: Freddi’s book has been published
by Innovative Kids! It was released in bookstores in 2006.
Freddi loves photography and plays the guitar. She also
runs a Lost and Found Pet website in her community.
