Customizable Water Blaster
Inventor: Kevin
Invented at age 14
He had a problem: Kevin wanted a paintball gun but his
mother wouldn’t let him have one. He liked how you
could change the parts almost anyway you wanted. He thought
there was no water gun that had customizable features
and components similar to the paintball kind.
He had an idea: Kevin combined construction play with
outdoor fun! He designed his own water blaster with a
variety of changeable parts so that each time you play
it seems like you have a brand new water shooter.
He
developed it: His design starts out with a base water
unit that includes several interchangeable functional
and cosmetic parts including nozzles, blasters, hoses,
side panels and other features and parts.
The idea was a hit: Kevin was the 2005 Chester Award
winner in the By Kids for Kids Xerox National Invention
Competition.
Kevin’s favorite thing about school is his friends
and his least favorite thing is class!
