FroBow
Inventor: Kirsten
Invented at age: 10
She had a problem: Kirsten noticed her dog playing with
a Frisbee. She thought it would be really neat to make
a flying disc into another invention. However, a flying
disc is just an ordinary toy to play with. There is no
functionality to playing with a Frisbee.
She had an idea: She realized she can create many games
with just one toy. She created a message sending game,
where you can send a stealth message by quickly writing
a note and passing it right on over to your friend with
one simple throw.
She
developed it: Kirsten took a Frisbee, a piece of paper,
a marker, a sponge, a piece of a binder spacer and some
tape.
Her idea was a hit: Kirsten was the 2005 Chester Award
winner in the By Kids for Kids Xerox National Invention
Competition.
Kirsten likes to do gymnastics and her favorite food
is artichoke. Her favorite animal is a turtle and she
is involved in the author's in action club at school.
