Nicholas
The Burn Free Oven Mitt

Inventor: Nicholas
Invented at age: 8

Nicholas may just be the next Thomas Edison. At the age of 13 he has more than twenty inventions!

He saw a problem: Nicholas’s Aunt burned herself while cooking bacon on the stove. The grease splattered up and burnt her arm. When cooking it is important to wear gloves not to burn you, yet the gloves often make it hard to grasp onto cooking utensils such as spoons and tongs.

He had an idea: To create a device that would include both gloves and utensils in one.

Burn Free Oven MittHe developed it: Using various things that were around his house, Nicholas found a way to extend the fabric of the gloves and attach tongs to them.

The idea was a hit: Nicholas has appeared on shows such as CBS News, and The Ellen Show. He has displayed all of his inventions at the 1st Invent Now America competition.
