STAMFORD, Conn – February 22, 2008 By Kids For Kids Company (BKFK), the youth empowerment company, today announced a licensing deal with Base4 of Dallas, Texas to bring the "Battie Caddie™" to market. The "Battie Caddie™," invented by Austin Meggitt, 19, of Amherst, Ohio, is a rack that attaches to any bike handlebars to hold a bat, ball and glove, enabling the rider to keep both hands safely on the handlebars.

Under the terms of the deal, Base4 will work with BKFK and Austin Meggitt to develop the Battie Caddie™ into a commercially available product. It is anticipated that the Battie Caddie™ could reach the marketplace as early as spring 2008. An undisclosed advance against royalties has been paid to Austin Meggitt and BKFK.

Austin Meggitt, who is represented by BKFK, invented the "Battie Caddie™" in 1997 when he was just 9 years old. He was riding his bike to the local ballpark for a game, carrying his baseball glove, bat and ball while trying to steer his bike. He completely wiped out, and very narrowly avoided a serious collision. In response to that dangerous experience, Austin went right into his basement and invented the "Battie Caddie™" In 2000 Austin received U.S. patent #6,029,874 for his invention.

Austin Meggitt commenting on his licensing deal said: "When I invented the Battie Caddie, I had no idea where it would take me. It's been a few years since the patent, but with the perseverance of myself and BKFK on my behalf, this idea is becoming a reality. I am very excited to take the next step in working with BKFK and base4 on further developing the Battie Caddie and bringing it to market!"

"Having sons on baseball teams, I can well appreciate and understand the value of Austin's invention," said Brad Berkeley Founder and CEO of Base4. "The Battie Caddie™ provides convenience and safety for young ballplayers as well as peace of mind for parents. We look forward to working with Austin Meggitt and BKFK to bring this great product into the marketplace."

Norman Goldstein, Founder and CEO of By Kids For Kids Co. commented: "Austin Meggitt is one of our finest inventors and we are thrilled to partner with Base4 to bring his "Battie Caddie™" to the marketplace. The Battie Caddie™ is a great example of the power of inventive thinking and creative problem solving. I can't wait to see this product on store shelves!"
