
BKFK Announces Keats Conley of Boise
Won the First Idaho BKFK Entrepreneurial Award
“Brush Buddy” Invention Beats out 140 Finalists in the Invent Idaho! 2006 State Competition
STAMFORD, Conn., March 14, 2006 – By Kids for Kids Co. “BKFK” today announced that Ms. Keats Conley, 12, of Boise won the first Idaho BKFK Entrepreneurial Award. Ms. Conley’s winning invention, the “Brush Buddy” is a highly original ensemble of animal heads which replace the caps on toothpaste tubes, and matching animal skins which cover the tubes. The “Brush Buddies” come in many varieties, like frogs, pigs and cows. Toothpaste is dispensed through the “nose” of the “Brush Buddy” when the animal head is flipped back.
Ms. Conley, an 8th grader at the Riverstone Community School in Boise, was presented the BKFK Idaho Entrepreneurial Award on March 11th during the Invent Idaho 2006 State Competition held at the Discovery Center of Idaho. Her “Brush Buddy” invention was selected from over 160 finalists in the competition because of its uniqueness and commercial potential.
As the winner of the Idaho BKFK Entrepreneurial Award, Ms. Conley received an award certificate, a patent review and patent application (if patentable) and a licensing contract from BKFK to develop and market her product. These prizes are valued at over $10,000.

Since its inception in 1989, the Invent Idaho program has provided a forum for young inventors to showcase their innovative ideas. Each year, over 1,000 students enter the Invent Idaho competition on the local, regional and state levels in 5 categories: Working Models, Non-Working Models, Adaptations, Games, and Jules Verne.
