Burn-Free Oven Mitt
Invented by 9-year old Nicholas Fornario

Nicholas may just be the next Thomas Edison. At the age of 13, he has more than twenty inventions. Nicholas says that his inventions are to “help pets, seniors, kids and everybody else.” He is a problem solver. When he sees a problem he looks for a solution. He puts his creativity to task, builds a prototype and tries it out. All of his inventions are then tested (he enlists his family, friends, and dog to make sure his prototypes work).

• The Burn Free Oven Mitt - an oven mitt with tongs to keep
users from being splattered with grease.
• Snot Just a Glove - a glove or mitten with a tissue attached
to the top for kids when they are outside playing.
• Collar Cam - a dog collar with a camera built in to what
your dog is up to at any give time.
• Eyes in the Back of Your Head - a camera device in the car
to see what your kids are doing in the back seat without
having to turn around.
• Alcatraz Pet Gate - keeps your dog from digging free under
the gate.
• Car-Minder - Helps you find where you parked your car in
the parking lot.
• Luggage Minder - locate your luggage faster after your flight.
There are many more…

Nick appeared on The Ellen Show and displayed all of his inventions at the 1st Invent Now America competition in Orlando, Florida 2003. He received numerous invention awards in local competitions in Rockland County, NY and in National competitions including the INPEX Invention Show.nbsp;
