Douglas is the Grand Prize Winner of the 2008 BKFK Sports Evolution Challenge. The contest challenged young adults to come up with ideas for new & innovative sports or sports products. Douglas' invention, the Roller Boggin won him $10,000 and a meet n greet with ESPN Sportscaster Dan Shulman.

The Roller Boggin is a sitting or kneeling version of a skateboard; Douglas combined his snow sled and skateboard. It is propelled by hand, arm and upper body thrusting movements.

We are pleased to announce the GRAND PRIZE WINNER of the 2008 Newell Rubbermaid Sports Evolution Challenge.

Douglas enjoyed skateboarding but like many other kids, it took him a long time before he could stand up on the board. He decided to create something that was as much fun as skateboarding but a whole lot easier, safer and cool. He combined his snow sled and skateboard to create the Roller Boggin, a perfect sport for people who can't stand or balance on a skateboard. Douglas says it's easier to ride than a skateboard but is still challenging and fun with its thrusting mechanisms!

On January 24th, 2009, as part of his connection to reality prizing, Douglas attended the NCAA basketball game between UConn and Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He also received a check of $10,000 from ESPN Sportscaster, Dan Shulman.
